Pe versantul vestic al unei coline neconstruite de la marginea Clujului (Colonia Sopor) un cuplu cu preocupări artistico-ecologice şi-a propus să-şi materializeze, în propria casă, reperele care le jaloneaza existenţa.
“Lupta arhitectului cu beneficiarul” a fost mult uşurată, amândouă părtile dorindu-şi realizarea unei simbioze intervenţie umană/natură prin intermediul acestei case.
În consecinţă casa va avea: minim de beton (fundaţiile, zidul de sprijin), maxim de materiale de provenienţa naturală (suprastructura – lemn lamelar, pereţi cânepă compactată, piatră tuf vulcanic), integrare maximă în peisaj, consum de energie redus (50% faţă de uzual), acoperiş vegetat, surse de energie regenerabilă (panouri solare şi fotovoltaice), reciclare “in situ” a resturilor/apei menajere, faţade vegetate/agricole la parter.

Project description:
On an undeveloped western slope of a hill on the outskirts of Cluj (Colonia Sopor) a couple with both artistic and environmental concerns aimed to materialize in their own home, that which guides their own existence.
The "struggle" between client and architect was much easier, because of them both wanting to achieve the same thing which is the symbiosis between human intervention and nature.
In consequence this home will have: minimum concrete (foundations, retaining wall), a maximum of materials of natural origin (superstructure - laminated wood, hemp walls compacted tuff stone), maximum integration into the landscape, low energy consumption (50% vs. the typical), a vegetated roof, renewable energy sources ( solar and photovoltaic ), recycled "in situ" scrap / waste water, vegetated facade / farm downstairs.
